Tuesday isn’t a typical day I publish a post, but as my husband and I celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary today, I wanted to write down a little something – shout my love to the world, as it were. We are in town today unlike last year when we were in Hawaii (and up on Orcas Island the year before that), but that’s the way it goes when your anniversary falls on a weeknight and you aren’t on a big trip.

It’s hard to wrap my brain around the fact that we felt grown up enough to say “I do” at just twenty-one, but I’m so glad we did. We’ve come a heck of a long way in our first nine years of marriage, and I can’t wait to see what the next nine years hold.

To finish this off, I wanted to share a few pictures of our adventures over the last twelve months since our last anniversary:

Hawaii in November:

Zoo Lights in December:

Orcas Island in January:

Chimacum and Port Townsend, WA in February:

Sequim in March:

Port Angeles in April:

Leavenworth, also in April:

Atlanta in May at the start of our two week East Coast trip:

And then Savannah, Georgia the next day (at the same place we visited the my first trip to South Carolina):

The Entiat above Leavenworth in June:

Visiting friends in the South Sound in July:

Exploring locally in August:

Back to Leavenworth in September:

And again in October:

No matter where life takes me, I’m glad I’m doing it with you.

  1. Happy anniversary!!!!! It was fun looking over the pictures from your last 12 months of family adventures. (My puppy-obsessed daughter especially loved the dog sculptures photo.)

    1. Thank you!! And my son LOVES those dog sculptures. We have to visit them any time we’re in that town 🙂

  2. Happy Anniversary! Here’s to many more. Love how you have a picture for every month of the year to highlight your travels and moments together.

  3. Congratulations! Definitely worth celebrating every anniversary, as the years pass in the blink of an eye! Enjoy your special day together. Blessings from South Australia. Kerryn

  4. Congratulations!! I married at the same age and it is fun to look at pics from over a decade ago. And you sure have been to some beautiful places over the past year :).

    1. Oh I didn’t know that! Love it.

And I think you might be partial to one of the locations we visited 😉
