Fuck everyone who thinks a “mild” case of Covid is nothing to worry about. A special fuck you this week, as I have someone in my real life who is now hospitalized post case of mild Covid with a pulmonary embolism. Our hospitals are full, but thankfully they were able to get a much-needed bed, and they took their symptoms seriously enough to get treated early on.
So yeah. Apparently “celebrating” Week 100 of these Friday posts talking about life in the time of Covid gets to be this.

Friday’s Frugal Five
I don’t think I’m in the brain space to share out my “normal” Frugal Five kind of post this week. Locally, nationally, our hospitals are completely overwhelmed and breaking all time records of Covid hospitalizations. And that person in my real life who is part of that statistic isn’t likely even to be part of that statistic – because hospitalization came weeks after the acute Covid infection.
I think that’s all I’ve got for this week. Lots of love to all of you taking this seriously and still making decisions that say you care about others two years into this pandemic. I’m exhausted, you’re exhausted, we’re all exhausted. But no, it’s not “over” yet either.
With that, I’m going to leave these words from anonymous, because they are simply perfect. If you know who wrote them, please let me know, because I’d love to credit them appropriately.

Ps. We’re all still screaming to acknowledge Week 100, right?
I feel you. It’s most definitely not over and it’s exhausting.
Yeah. So exhausting.
